The Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 is visiting Altoona, Pennsylvania as part of its coast-to-coast tour celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary. The massive steam locomotive will be on display for two days, and fans are encouraged to use public shuttles for access.

- Dates: Thursday, July 9, and Friday, July 10, 2026.
- Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. EDT each day.
- Location: Peoples Natural Gas Field (1000 Park Ave, Altoona, PA).
- Access: No parking is available on site; you must use the free public shuttles provided. Walk-ins are accepted via 8th Ave & 5th St.
- Cost: Free admission.
What to Expect:
- The Locomotive: The Big Boy is the world’s largest operating steam locomotive.
- Exhibits: The display includes the Union Pacific Experience Car (a traveling rail history museum) and several commemorative locomotives from Norfolk Southern.
